Q. What kind of church is this?
A. Riverside Community Church is a contemporary church serving the growing Farmville, Virginia area. Our goal is to share the love of Christ, through various ministries to children, youth, college students, and adults.
The purpose of Riverside is to share the good news of Jesus Christ with the people of the Five-County heartland of Virginia in a culturally relevant way and help them grow into fully devoted followers of Christ. Our desire is that Riverside Community Church be a place where people can be real, and come to know Jesus Christ in a real and personal way.

Q. What should I wear?
A. The dress code at Riverside is different than what you may have experienced at other churches. For example, people are encouraged to come in their shorts during the summer, and whatever casual wear is comfortable for them during the rest of the year. So, feel free to leave the tie at home.

Q. How long will the service last?
A. Approximately an hour and 15 minutes. We usually open and close with praise and worship music and include a message, announcements, and/or a multimedia or drama presentation. Before or after the service, be sure to save some time for coffee and fellowship in the theater lobby.

Q. What will the service be like?
A. At Riverside, we adhere to a unique philosophy of ministry. We use multimedia, contemporary music, drama, and practical messages to present the timeless truths of Scripture in a way that is easily understood by everyone.

Q. What about my kids -- do they come in with me, or is there something going on for them?
A. Our Children's Ministry provides an exciting, engaging experience for your child (ages birth to grade 5). Each and every service has children’s programs running simultaneously. We want you to be able to focus on worshiping and learning about God, knowing that your child is receiving high-quality care and attention.

Q. Is this a Christian church, or something else?
A. Yes, we are a Christian church with several strategic partnerships. We are a non-denominational church that has partnerships with the Association of Related Churches for Church Planting, and the Willow Creek Association and Fellowship Connection, as well as other partnerships and ministries.

Q. What are the service times?
A. Our service starts on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. Come 15 to 30 minutes early and enjoy light refreshments while you make a new friend or two.

Q. Where are you located?
A. We meet for Sunday services at the Longwood Village Cinemas in the heart of Farmville, Virginia. Our church office is located in downtown Farmville on the corner of Main St. and 3rd Street. See a map.
