About Us

Hi, I'm Pastor Frank Lacey. I met the Lord and was called into full time ministry as a young boy. My dad was a pastor, but he died when I was 8 years old. Our family moved to LACEYVILLE, PA. (That's right, named after my family.) My mom became an associate missionary, going to Africa several times as a nurse. So I am a PK and a MK, growing up in New York, PA, and Africa.

After graduating from Liberty University with a BS and MDIV, I started the Crystal Pines Baptist Church in Havelock, NC. Twelve years later the church land and building were paid in full, but I left with a broken heart. I attended Cleveland Community Church in Clayton, NC when it was a church plant and became the Associate Pastor for 3 years.

I met Mary who came all the way from Spokane, Washington to work at the House of Hope girls group home. (This is a great story and Mary loves to tell it. So ask her sometime.) Mary and I were married on December 1, 2002. Nine months later since we were too old to have children we brought a teen-age girl from the House of Hope, Christina, into our home. Cleveland Community Church sent Mary, Christina, and I to Farmville, VA to start the Riverside Community Church in March 2004. I have a daughter, Heather, (age 25) and a son Frank (age 22) who are single and live in Raleigh, NC. Mary has two married sons. Jeremy and Kerisa Alvis live in Cheney, Washington. Jason and Jewel Alvis have a one-year old son Eli and they live in Germany thanks to the Army.

Things we like-
Frank -likes outdoor stuff like canoeing, camping, hiking, swimming, etc. and indoor stuff like reading and watching sports on TV. "I especially like to eat."
Mary -likes to travel, (especially to Germany to see Eli), go shopping, visit friends and family, and chocolate. "I like being Frank's wife."
Christina -likes animals, especially horses and barrel racing. She likes TV and likes to talk. "I like to study-NOT!"
